Farm Strategies Tour: Russet House Farm

A tour of Russet House Farm that will focus on strategies and techniques for sustainable agriculture that are currently in practice. Highlights will include conservation breeding, pasture management, composting, soil health and management, as well as strategies for sustainable forestry in a working woodlot. All of these topics will be considered in the context of understanding a farm as a whole ecosystem engaged in a dynamic relationship with the wild lands ecosystems that surround it. Jump in for just this tour or participate in the farm strategies series of three tours for an overview and comparison of different farming methods. Tour will begin at the Cob Cottage and commence from there.
