Raised by his parents in a house that uses both passive and active solar (solar thermal and photovoltaics), Jordan learned early on that to be truly sustainable, buildings must first take full advantage of solar potential. In 2010, Jordan founded Zon Engineering Inc., a firm dedicated to developing design solutions for a sustainable built environment. Jordan is also a founding board member of Third Way Solar Inc., a not-for-profit organization committed to helping other not-for-profit organizations realize their potential for fiscal, social, and environmental stewardship through the deployment of solar energy systems. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Calvin College, (Grand Rapids, Michigan) in 2004. Jordan is a Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario and is currently involved in a wide variety of sustainable design (LEED), energy efficiency, and renewable energy projects across the province.
